Good Read

My sister told me that I needed to read, A Coming Evil, by Vivian Vande Velde.

It is a really easy and quick read. And I find the content to be very eye opening due to the events that took place during World War II.

The synopsis on the back of the book is this:

Lisette Beaucaire is angry when her parents send her away from Paris on September day in 1940 during World War II. And though she knows that the Nazis occupying the city she'd be safer at her Aunt Josephine's farm in the Dordogne valley, Lisette resents her "exile." She misses her friends and the excitement of being thirteen and starting a new school, and now she has nothing to do but amuse her little cousin Cecile. But Lisette soon finds out that she isn't the only visitor.......

Time OUT!!!

Deacon has become very aggressive. He finds it funny to hit, bite and pinch. So we have started to put him in time out.

He just thinks it is funny.

Curly to Straight

Deacon has curly hair.

One day we decided to straighten his hair. We decided that he should always have curly hair.

I'll be Brave

Everyone knows, that I fear left hand turns, that I would rather have Clint drive anywhere we go (even though I am the back seat driver), that I would rather eat at home then dine out, that I prefer Clint to tag along when we go grocery shopping. etc.

Well, it has been three years this month that Clint started at LDS hospital. And for three years he has always wanted me to come down and have dinner with him. I finally got up the nerve and was brave....I loaded the kids in the van and drove down to SLC to see him.

Lilly seemed more nervous than me...She was afraid that the doctors were going to give her a shot!
