Happy 3 Days

On Sunday the 13th we had a family celebration of all the September birthdays.


Lilly was already thinking it was her birthday...aunt Patti gave her dress up clothes...aunt Net gave her the Mulan Soundtrack.


On Tuesday September 15th, My sister in law. Kelsey, took Lilly to get her toe nails painted...glitter purple!!!

I asked Lilly what she wanted for breakfast, only after I had made eggs and toast for her, and her response was......

She is really into Mulan...so I attempted to make a mushu cake for her.

We celebrated with pizza, subway subs, ice cream, two cake, swimming, and fireworks.


Lilly got really spoiled.

Good Read

My sister told me that I needed to read, A Coming Evil, by Vivian Vande Velde.

It is a really easy and quick read. And I find the content to be very eye opening due to the events that took place during World War II.

The synopsis on the back of the book is this:

Lisette Beaucaire is angry when her parents send her away from Paris on September day in 1940 during World War II. And though she knows that the Nazis occupying the city she'd be safer at her Aunt Josephine's farm in the Dordogne valley, Lisette resents her "exile."
