Look Who's 5

We celebrated Lilly's birthday a few days after her real birthday!
We had a movie night with her family and friends.

We smashed a pinata, opened presents, bounced, ate cupcakes, pickles, popcorn, and candy while we watched "Little Rascals."

Lilly's big surprise for the night was a jump house that we rented from the base...(super deal). I think that Deacon enjoyed it the most.

Big thanks to all that came and helped celebrate Lilly's 5th birthday with us.

I really hope that my family isn't the only family that has a hard time taking pictures. It is very frustrating when you have a vision in your mind of how you want your Family Picture to turn out. But when you have three kids who will NOT look at the camera or sit still for the camera, getting a "perfect family picture" is very difficult. (Thank goodness for photoshop)

My sweet sister took our "first attempt family pictures." Maybe when we go to the Tetons we will produce a "Grand" Family Photo.

Shrimp Boil- Labor of Love

This is our second Shrimp Boil. Oh Boy do we love eating corn, potatoes, and shrimp with our hands.

My nephews found this baby bird about a week and half ago at their home. The bird had fallen from its nest. Jessica and her boys feed and cared for the bird. It is so awesome to see it flutter across the room. Only regrets is that we didn't take day by day pictures of the bird...when they found the bird it was totally featherless but as the days progressed it started to get its feathers.

Snails part 2

So the beer didn't work for keeping the snails away...but I have been reading up on "killing and repelling snails" and one other thing that I am going to try is egg shells. You smash the egg shells and then sprinkle them around the plants (or in my case building egg shell walls around my plants). Hopefully this works!

I have had enough of the nasty snails that are destroying my vegetable garden. SO today I had Clinton go buy some beer. I have heard that snails are attracted to the smell of a beer and once they consume it they DIE. I am going to see if it works!!!

Happy Birthday Sis

Today is my Sister's Birthday! If you can figure out the candle count...you are really smart!!!

Jessica you are an amazing woman....You have been through alot in your 30 plus years of life, BUT you have always remained faithful and have endured. I love you and I am grateful to have you as a "BIG" sister!

My mom and dad rented an AWESOME cabin for us in Heber. Two different times we saw moose and many times we saw deer. It was such a wonderful place! Can't wait to do it next year!?
